Now it is Your Turn to Earn Money on Fiverr …
Introduction – Who am I?
Back in 2011, in my quest to find some others ways to earn more money online, I discovered Fiverr and immediately thought it to be a lucrative option to be added to my portfolio. So, I joined, and I suggest that you do the same 👉 HERE ! 👈
I am going to tell you exactly how I made $2,112 within 30 days with my gigs and how you can too!
Fiverr: What Is It?
Fiverr is undoubtedly the most popular marketplace for people to buy services for as little as $5.
Every day, a large number of people use Fiverr to buy and / or sell services (as well as products).
There are numerous services available, including business advertising, social media marketing, and advertising, as well as humorous videos, graphic designing, copy writing, and also translations from and to various languages, just to name a few.
On Fiverr, these services are referred to as “GIGS”.
You’ll be able to locate nearly anything you require. Visitors from all corners of the world can visit the website to call on your expertise and hire your services.
How Much Money Did I Earn From Fiverr so Far?
Before I begin, I’d like to show you some proof of my Fiverr earnings, which have been paid to my bank account so far:

As I said, I have earned $2,112 within a single month, and the way I see it, I can expect to surpass that this month, and hopefully the following months but has since surpassed $2,000 in earnings many times over.
All of this was accomplished, first all by myself, one gig at the time, one order at the time, and then as soon as I could afford it, I invested in some tools, and even hired the services of other Fiverr sellers. All this will be revealed in due course on this tutorial, and in my free training which you can signup for below …
How to Earn Money With Fiverr …
Okay but, how was I able to get to that point on Fiverr where I was making so much money? To begin, I looked at other people’s success stories on Fiverr to see how they generated their income.
While doing that, I came across some fantastic gigs that sparked some great ideas in my head. It seamed to be incredibly simple, even too simple to be true, that I thought then.
But hey! Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?
This is how my very first gig came to be – I was going to start offering what these guys are offering. As much as I can see, it is something that I can do, and have been doing for several years to promote my other businesses, but never knew that there could be a market for that sort of service.
So that was it. I was in the business of offering the skills I already had but was only making use of for myself. My first gig was up not knowing if my asking price was right, or if even anybody would be interested at all. But anyway, it was free to have it out there, so nothing to lose.
I must admit, the waiting was long but, having been marketing online since 2001, I had many other irons in the fire, so I forgot all about this Fiverr gig.
Ping! The miracle happened …
Then one day, I received an email from Fiverr announcing that I had made a sale. Of course a small one as my charges were quite low then: $10, yes a whole ten bucks for doing nothing about it.
Okay, I delivered nicely following the recommendations given by Fiverr, and I was left with $8 after deduction of the commissions. I thought that it was rather steep but hey, I was using their platform, their training and just sat there doing something else.
Next couple of day, Ping! Another order, same client. The following week, same thing. Then this got me thinking: if I was doing nothing to promote my one gig on Fiverr and this guy found me and repeated his order over and over again, what would happen if I started to do something? Like improving this one gig and creating more, or maybe promoting them (one thing that I am an expert at). That should work, right?
So, game on guys!
Creating relevant gigs was as simple as researching the average amount of money other people were charging for similar services or selling similar services myself.
It’s safe to say that planning and opportunity came together flawlessly! You can start getting orders for your gigs the very same day you post them on Fiverr, if you know what you are doing of course! But don’t worry about that, this is what this tutorial is for as well as my free eTraining below …
I’d like to share with what sort of income I had from Fiverr in nine months last year …

So, as you are seeing, the orders keep pouring in, some months better than other because I am also busy elsewhere.
With time I have learned that I had several skills that people might need for their business. Even skills I didn’t know I had. So, I started to do some research and came up with a number of services that I could offer and that were on high demand on Fiverr.
With this in mind, I’ll walk you through the process of how I earn money with Fiverr, so you can do the same, okay?
Simply follow the 10 steps outlined below to discover how easy it is to earn money with your Fiverr account, if you already have one, or create one here now!
Follow These 10 Steps and You Will Earn Money on Fiverr!
Nothing dramatic! These 10 simple steps are basic, anyone can follow them. They have not changed much since I know Fiverr, only a few tweaks here and there over the years. But it is very important to follow them to the letter, so here they are …
Step #1 – Put Your Skills to The Test
To begin, I listed all the skills I thought I might have. I took some inspiration from sellers offering their gigs on Fiverr (and elsewhere) …
- Yes I can do that
- Maybe I could do this
- I might try to offer that too
- Yes I can do that as well
- I could improve on that
- etc., etc. …
After a couple of weeks of brain storming, I was able to produce and sort out a list without any problems and to decide which skill I would offer first, second, third, etc. Obviously, the one I was more confident in mastering would be the first to go live.
Step #2 – Create Your First Fiverr Gig
I started my first Fiverr gig as soon as I realized I could offer the same service others were offering, but that I could deliver a better job, over deliver and at a cheaper price to start with.
The title
I suggest that you go to your Fiverr account now so that you can better follow these steps. If you haven’t open an account yet, do it NOW … It is FREE! Click on the banner below …
Short and sweet is the answer! For example: “I will produce a $5 whiteboard animation video in 24 hours” is too long.
“I will create a whiteboard animation video in 24 hrs” is better. You could even improve on that keeping in mind that your title will be the first thing your possible buyer will see, therefore it must be short, to the point and clear.
Note that the bit “I will” is produced by Fiverr and you cannot change it. All the rest is yours.
Step #3 – Create Your Gig Picture
If you look for matching gigs on Fiverr, you’ll see that there are some that have more eye-catching pictures than others.
Make a few searches and get some ideas from the gig photos that stand out the most to you.
This is where Canva comes in and does an excellent job. If you want to really stand out, you can also hire someone to do it for you on Fiverr! Here is one that I can highly recommend ~~> Emily Skarb
Step # 4 – Compose a Brief Description of Your Services
Your gig’s description is most critical as well, so be sure to nail it.
Also, just like when creating the gig’s image, I scoured Fiverr to see what other busy sellers were doing and then adapted their descriptions to fit my own style.
If you copy their descriptions in any way, you will be permanently banned. Just take what they’ve written as a starting point and create something new and original of your own.
Yes I know, the English language cannot be mastered perfectly by everyone, therefore you might have to hire the services of someone with great experience to write your bio and gig description. It is very much worth the expense, trust me and I recommend the gig below …
Step #5 – Keywords and Tags
Tag and keyword creation is critical to the success of your gigs.
Many people are unaware of the importance of properly tagging your gig in order to have your gig appear higher in search results on Fiverr.
Here’s an example of the tags I used for one of my gigs …

Step #6 – Adding a Video to Your Gig
You have the possibility to make your gig stand out by adding a video to it. Pay attention to this because it aids in improving rankings and increasing sales.
For my gig, I simply use Canva to create some catchy videos that doesn’t have to be particularly impressive, but nonetheless showcases the service.
Of course, you can hire the services of a professional on Fiverr. Again, it will really be worth the expense in the long run …
Step #7 – Ensure Your Tags Are Accurate
Ensure that your gigs have accurate tags and also include these keywords within the title as well as in the first and last paragraph of the description. I also suggest that you add them somewhere within the description of your gig. Don’t worry about overdoing it, as Fiverr will notify you if you do.
For example, one of my very popular Fiverr gigs is about promoting Fiverr gigs on one of my high authority websites, so my keywords could be something like:
- GIGS
- FIVERR GIGS PROMOTIONS
- GIG ADVERTISEMENT
- WEBSITE MARKETING
- PROMOTE YOUR FIVERR GIG
Step #8 – Time Has Come to Promote Your Gig
To depend on Fiverr to rank your gig on the first page of their searches is a bit like buying a lottery ticket really. If you have done everything correctly, you do have a chance of course, and your turn will come for sure. But imagine the thousands of sellers on Fiverr who have set their gigs correctly, they are still waiting for their number to be picked up, and the queue is long, trust me.
Of course, you might think that among the nearly 2.5 million active buyers on Fiverr, you have a great chance to be picked up by a user in search of what you are offering, but at the same time, Fiverr has over 2.3 million sellers (2020 / 2021 count), so you see what I mean?
Therefore, a little help doesn’t hurt.
But be very careful here …
Fiverr hates short cuts, or dodgy business, and they will instantly detect unethical or non organic visitors to your gig.
In order to help Fiverr sellers, I have created a gig that is very popular and that is loved by Fiverr because it is 100% what they like to see. You can have a look by clicking on the image on the left.
If you run some social accounts such has Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. of course it is a good thing to share your gig with your fans and followers.
But if you don’t maintain any, or their followers numbers are very small, I suggest that you also look at my gig’s Extras as I am offering to run an advert for you on my very active main Twitter account every week for 3, 6 or 12 months at a very special price for Fiverr sellers.
This information should have given you a clearer picture of how you too can earn money with Fiverr.

This sounds intriguing and I had not previously heard about it, but I am skeptical. I have been trained to be wary of claims of being able to make fast big money within a set time frame. Can you offer more up-front transparency about your process and how much effort and work was necessary to succeed?
Thanks very much for your comment and questions Dbrae. Skepticism is okay, especially these days with the millions of get rich quick offers. However, what I am describing in my tutorial is not a get rich quick program, it is a money making opportunity that requires work, patience and consistency. As I explained in my tutorial, I joined Fiverr in 2011, first as a buyer, then later started to offer one service rather out of curiosity to see how it worked. I was very skeptical like you are now.
It is only a few years later that I realized that I could make money with it if I was prepared to work at it and treat it as a real business.
The $2,112 I made in a month didn’t just drop in my pocket out of nowhere, it was the result of my own work, so is the over $44,000 I have made so far, and counting Dbrae.
How much work and time I put in this business depends on the type of service that I offer and the competition. For example, a perfect French to English and vice-versa translation would take me more time for less profit than some of my high quality website traffic gigs which can be almost fully automated and can earn me hundreds of dollars per order.
In a free email training I am sharing all my techniques that can enable anyone to buildup such incomes and even far more, as many Fiverr sellers are making tens of thousands of dollars each and every month.
If that interests you Dbrae, here is the subscription form for my Free eCourse ~~> “How to Earn Even More Money on Fiverr!“
I hope to have answered your questions and cleared a bit of your wise skepticism Dbrae, and I wish you the very best for your online projects.
Take care, stay safe, happy and wealthy,
John 😊
Hi John,
This was a very well written article. I am an artist and so I have been thinking of checking out fiverr. I’ve actually saved this on my browser so I can get started later.
However, one thing–in the first section after the “get started now” you say “there are numerous possibilities here…” and that is a bit confusing as I was unsure of what you’re talking about, make sure to keep linking up your paragraphs to your subject matter, which is how to make money on Fiverr.
Thanks very much for your comment Julianne. I see what you mean and I am correcting that right now. I am glad that you find my article interesting and when you join Fiverr, please let me know if you need any help to set you up, okay?
Have a great day,
John 🙂
Wow, I’m so excited I found this article about how to make money on Fiverr. Considering the way you explain Fiverr, I believe it is doable to make money with them. Your personal experience with Fiverr is inspiring, and I see that you’ve made a lot of money there. I believe Fiverr can be good for me too as I am someone who is always on the lookout for new ways to make money online, and I can’t wait to give it a shot. And I’ll make sure also to follow your guidance in order to have high success on Fiverr.
Great article.
Thanks very much for taking the time to comment on my tutorial Lio. Yes, Fiverr is a great place for anyone to make as much money as they wish with a bit of imagination.
Let me know if you need any help setting you up.
Take care, stay safe, healthy and wealthy,
John 😊
I first heard about Fiverr two years ago. Mistakingly, I thought that the name signified how much the services cost. $5.00. Hence I didn’t give it much attention, Even after I heard of more people using Fiverr, I still didn’t think much of it.
When I saw your article, the penny dropped. It amazed me that one could charge more than a few dollars for services. And that this platform had ballooned. I know that it is listed on the Stock Market and it is currently valued at $174 a share!
You opened my mind to the earning power of Fiverr. But you also tempered it with needing a strategy to make it work. When you get down to it, this is still a method of exchanging one’s time for dollars. Until one is able to enlist others in a team and share a part of their earnings, this income is not residual.
However, I do see it as a great means to earn some money while one is creating a business that will provide residual income. And that is not shabby at all.
Cheers.
Edwin
Thanks very much for your comment Edwin, Indeed, as you say, Fiverr is no residual income, but what a perfect way to exchange what YOU feel your time is worth while having several residual income streams running, such as WealthyAffiliate? It is still much better than someone deciding what your time is worth, isn’t it?
Personally, I have some services on Fiverr where I charge $400+ to complete and deliver in less than 5 minutes to a queue of happy returning clients who even give me a tip on top of that. There are some IT techs who are charging $3,000 for a “30 Minutes Live Consultation“.
I think that it is a perfect way to earn an income from home, in your spare time, and many Fiverr sellers discovered that they had skills that people were prepared to pay for, that includes myself.
I wish you the very best for your online projects Edwin, stay safe, healthy and happy.
John 😊
Hi, John. I’ve heard of the Fiverr marketplace for freelancers for some years now. I’ve considered signing up but haven’t come to it. The tutorials I’ve come across have not been that informative. At least for yours, you have real-world experience with Fiverr and not just talking. I’ve been hesitant with what services I should provide, but you’ve laid the process down beautifully.
Thanks very much for taking the time to post a comment on my tutorial “How to Earn Money on Fiverr” Steve. As you say, it was written by a person (myself) who is actually using it and making money with it, and not by someone who hasn’t a clue of what it is about and just copies and rewrite an article just to fill his or her own blog in order to attract visitors, which is too often the case.
You may be amazed about how many skills that you have, and probably dont know you have, that some people would pay you handsomely for you to share them.
Actually, the best way to find out is to sign up for a free forever account on Fiverr and see what other people are offering. I can promise you that you will discover a handful that you could also offer and make money with 😊
If you have any questions Steve, and/or need any help getting you started on Fiverr, make sure to call on me at any time, okay?
Wishing you the very best for your online projects,
John 💰
It’s interesting that fiverr has so many different ways that people can earn money from home. I have definitely hired people on fiverr in the past, but I don’t know anyone personally who has signed up to sell services on fiverr. It’s great to see your success on the platform and to learn some of the ways that you’ve found to make it work for you. Thanks so much for sharing your tips and encouraging people to get started with this simple opportunity!
Thanks so much for reading my review on the Fiverr money making opportunity, and for taking the time to post a comment Aly. Yes, as you can see, it is a very easy way to make some good money on line and the risk is absolutely nil as it is totally free to join and sell your skills, the reason why it is so popular.
I wish you the very best for your online projects,
John 😊
Hi John,
I know that Fiverr is one of the ways that can be considered a profitable business. To be honest, so far, I have not taken the time to inform myself and act. But your article gave me an impetus to analyze in more detail this possibility of making money.
In general, I like to form my opinions from my own experiences, so I will take a first step using the services of the platform to research the field a bit and then I will offer my own services. In any case, your article is a good guide to follow. I bookmarked the article to get back to it when I need it.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Keep up the good work.👍
Thanks very much for taking the time to read my article and for your comment Diana. I hope that you will not waste as much time to decide to join Fiverr and to post your first gig as it took me, leaving a great opportunity to earn easy money on the back burner.
Let me know if you have any questions about Fiverr and / or if you need any help to get you started, okay?
Best wishes,
John 🤑
Thank you for such an informative post. I am a content writer by profession and I am looking for some additional income. I had heard about fiverr a long time back but never thought of earning some additional money from it. Since I am a content writer, can I get some gigs in this field? What do you think? Should I give it a try?
Thanks very much for your comment and question Hari. You definitely should join Fiverr, it is free (forever). Content writers are in great demand, I often require the services of a few that are doing a great job for me.
If you need help to set up a gig or two to get you started, you can also check this ~~> Fiverr Gigs
Let me know if you have any questions.
Wishing you the very best for your online projects.
John 🙂
Thanks for this post!
This couldn’t come at a better time, I was literally thinking of ways to earn extra income, even some pocket money. I have tried a few ways however not giving fiverr a try but now I’m definitely willing to give it a go, since there is something for everyone to do and show their skills.
You never try, you never know Sariyah. It was also what I thought before joining, but I gave it a try, if not I would be $47,000 (and still counting) poorer than I am now. To join, it is free, so you have nothing to lose, so give it a try here and now!
I wish you the very best for your online projects.
John 🙂
Thx
You are most welcome Ben. I’m glad you enjoyed it. If you are interested in making money online (10 minutes a day’s work) here is something for you: MyLeadGenSecret (far better than Walmart!).
