Question by TD: What do you think is better (ram) 3 gigs dual channel or 3.5 gigs single channel?
have 4 gigs installed in matched pairs but the os only recognizes 3 gigs. i can take one gig out and put in a 512 mb and the os recognizes it all. only in single channel , so is the 512mb gain worth loosing dual channel….in your opinion…thanks

Of course, u r using 32bit windows! X86 version. It doesn’t support more then 3gbs for ram. If u wanna take full advantage of ur 4gig, swap to 64bit windows!
